The LEVIA blanket is a so called weighted blanket. Designed to be about 10-15% of your body’s own weight – the calming deep pressure stimulation of LEVIA blanket triggers the sensation of feeling hugged, relaxed, protected and ultimately, sleepy. 

While using LEVIA, your body produces “feel good” hormone serotonin and the “sleep good” hormone melatonin as a direct effect of the extra weight. 

This is the science-backed reason why LEVIA helps you to relax and experience a sound sleep.

Our product consists of two parts: 
A cover made of cotton or minky & a weighted duvet 

You can wash the minky cover and the duvet in the washing machine at 30 °C and the cotton cover at 60 °C.

You should wash the cover and the blanket separately. 

Please don’t put the blanket in a dryer as this might harm the fabrics.  

✔️ 12 Loops for the best support: 

The duvet has 12 connection points that you can mount along with the cover. This way we make sure the inner shell stays exactly where it should.

✔️ Glass beads for a better feeling: 

instead of plastic pallets, we decided to use glass beads, which are little glass pearls in the size of sand corns – anti-allergic and washable.

✔️ Smaller weight chambers:

Other than many of our competitors, our blanket has smaller chambers for the weight. Those 7x7cm chambers help to distribute the weight more evenly on the body and guarantee a better weight distribution.

✔️The duvet is out of 100% cotton  

✔️ We increased the size of the blankets to 140 x 200 cm

There is no difference between a weight blanket and a therapy blanket. 

Therapy blankets, also known as gravity blankets, are just another term for a heavy blanket. 

The LEVIA blanket therefore also falls into the category of therapy blankets. 

For years weighted blankets have been applied  in the medical sector – with great success. Therapeutic blankets are proven to help people that are suffering from the following disorders, disabilities and symptoms:

Most clients need only 1-3 nights in order to fully adapt to the additional weight and feel the positive effects of LEVIA. Others report that they needed up to 2 weeks until they got used to the weight. It differs from person to person. Take your time to get accustomed to the amazing effects of our weighted blanket – after all you will have 30 days to do so. 

If you shouldn’t feel any improvement in your sleep quality or if the weight should be too heavy after 3 nights, we suggest the following: 

Take your LEVIA to the couch and use the blanket for 1-2 hours every day. This will help your body to get familiar with the additional weight. After 5 days take the blanket to the bedroom and enjoy healthy and restful stream. 

If all of the above does not help, you have the option to return the blanket and get a refund.

This is due to 3 reasons: 

1. It takes longer and needs more resources to produce one weighted blanket compared to a normal one. 

2. From the beginning it was key for us to develop a weighted blanket with superior materials and highest quality – it is designed to accompany you for many years. 

3. All LEVIA products are produced in Europe. 

The LEVIA Blanket is a unique long-term investment that you will benefit from by avoiding mental health issues or the consumption of sleeping pills.
